Introduction
Thank you for visiting the webpage and welcome to the lifelong journey of becoming a better climber and mountaineer. The aim is to give you an experience which ensures you are taught to the highest national standards and to ensure that you actually learn and practice the skills required to rock climb, trek, navigate and otherwise move around the mountains by yourself.

Personal
I have been a climber and mountaineer since 1985 and I have climbed throughout the world, with some new routes to my name. I was born in West Africa with the Sahara as my back garden and I have always had a deep passion for the outdoors and especially the mountains and in particular the crags. My personal ethos is that each person should explore this environment at their own speed and to give you enough time to try out and test the skills you are taught. I hold the mountain qualifications of the Mountaineering and Climbing Instructor Award (MCI) and the International Mountain Leader Award (IML) alongside the academic qualifications of an MA and DTLLS Teaching Qualification. I am a full member of AMI and BAIML/UIMLA.

Provision
I particularly specialise in teaching rock climbing on single pitches (Learning to lead on rock) or on multi-pitches (Learning to multi pitch climb) and within these courses we will COACH you to improve your grades and skills base. The locations for this will be throughout the UK using the best crags and mountains for your learning. We can also teach you how to move around the winter hills of Scotland safely and comfortably (Winter Skills) using ice axes and crampons. Also how to navigate confidently in all conditions (Technical Advising) and also, if you wish, take you to the Alps (International Trekking) and show you some of the most magnificent and classic mountain views in the world.
